Absolutely. You are referring to 1 Timothy 6:10
"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs."
I've been confronted many times by those who think this verse means that having money is evil. Obviously though, the verse clearly states that it is the LOVE of money that is evil... and not the money itself. For objects cannot within themselves be evil - only humans and what they do with those objects. Jesus put it best in Matthew Chapter 6 verse 24: "No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money."
Having money is a necessary part of life. But a person cannot put his hope in money - for in the end (a time coming very soon) - the money we possess will be worth nothing. We were warned:
"Whoever loves money never has money enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with his income. This too is meaningless. Ecclesiastes 5:10"
Whoever controls the printing of money in a country - controls the government. Obviously, here in the U.S., our money is completely under the control of the Federal Reserve Bank (which is neither Federal, nor do they have reserves). And ultimately, the Fed is controlled by the secret societies - who's allegiance is to Satan.
In my honest opinion - when Satan decides the time has come to rise the Antichrist to power - all he needs to do is hyper-inflate the U.S. economy (rendering the power of the U.S. dollar worthless and therefore crashing the global economy as well) - and the people of the U.S. will have no-one else to cry out to but the government for salvation. [there has been a "demoralization" process that has been going on since the 1950's in the U.S. - Satan has taken away the rights of the Christian church and the family unit and replaced them with his own values... I'll explain that further at a later time].
God has given us plain direction: "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6: 19-21"
So in answer to your question above, I completely agree. The love of money will ultimately lead to the rule of the Antichrist. The love of money distracts people from the more important issues. However, having money is necessary; and having lots of it is a great blessing. There is coming a time when a great transfer of wealth is going to occur - if you believe the Bible to be true (and I do 100%), you can be prepared to actually prosper in those dark times.
